I've had a passion for photography for 20 years. I've had a love for art as long as I can remember.

My first main subject of focus when I started my journey into photography was abandoned places. Whether it was rural countryside farmhouses or larger structures in the city, it was a subject that caught my attention. While building my portfolio, I took on numerous photography jobs. Some of my first photography jobs were within the Cleveland, Ohio music scene, but it wasn't long after that when I started getting hired for weddings and portrait photography.

Hi,
I'm Johnny

I'm a northeast ohio-based Photographer

My work is a reflection of three things: dedication and passion for photography, a genuine love for the people I document, and the creative freedom my clients entrust in me.

Most of the people that hired me when I started photographing weddings had seen my other work, and wanted to hire someone that wasn't your typical wedding photographer to capture their day. Over the years, I grew to love capturing people's wedding days down to every last little detail. Sometimes the smallest details are the most important.

A thoughtful approach to timeless storytelling

Before ever stepping into a full on career in photography, in 2006, I started building a portfolio documenting abandoned, forgotten and historic places--a body of work I gained some recognition for around 2014 when a few of my projects went viral. Thanks, Internet. Enough about that, though. If you're interested in checking out any of that work, I'll leave a link here.

In 2010, I took on some of my first real photography jobs; portraits for Cleveland-based rappers and bands, family photos, senior portraits, even a few admittedly bad commercial product photography jobs. I've always had fun practicing and learning about all different genres of photography. It always brought me somewhere interesting, and provided me the opportunity to experience so many amazing things.

I photographed my first wedding in 2011. I had no idea what I was doing (I guess that's to be expected though), but I enjoyed it so much. I continued to learn, and photograph weddings year after year. The more I photographed them, the more I grew to love capturing the story of what is one of the most important days in two people's lives. To be entrusted with the opportunity to preserve that day for them is an indescribable feeling.

I'm not one for writing 30 paragraphs about myself, but before I go, I want to thank you so much for being here, and if you consider me to capture your day, I look forward to talking with you soon!
